Leadership and Coaching – What’s the connection? What’s the ROI?

Forum Interactive have developed a unique leadership and coaching programme for senior managers and emerging leaders

It’s a stormy start to 2016 and I’m not just referring to the gale-force winds and torrential rain that rolls across the Atlantic. Global stock-markets have taken a battering, fueled by fears of a slowdown in the Chinese market, devaluation of the Yuan and western economic contraction. Although UK manufacturing has picked up after a period of stagnation, jobs are still being cut more quickly now than during any point in the last 3 years. So what price strong leadership in these turbulent times?

Against this bleak picture, most companies would be delighted to record moderate-to-large gains in their business deliverables, productivity, employee job satisfaction as well as stronger individual performances in both skills and behaviours. Good leadership and management (as well as sound recruitment) have a pivotal role in promoting these outcomes and although executive coaching has been a staple tool for improved performance for UK organisations for the last three decades, it can often be seen as a luxury rather than a necessity and where the ROI is difficult to measure.case-study-with-Maersk-Oil_LowRes5

However, research reveals empirical evidence that coaching is a positive contributor to the above list of gains as well as having significant impact especially ‘when tied directly to outcomes’  – both in terms of the individual and the organisation.

It’s never been more important to have a clear understanding of where you are and what you want, after all, organisations are increasingly looking for their staff to develop leadership capacity.

It’s easy to talk about leadership. It’s much harder to actually do something about it.

Words and books aren’t enough – you need to directly connect with what you are trying to achieve.

Learn by doing

Forum Interactive has created a unique Personal Development Programme which offers managers and emerging leaders the opportunity to immerse themselves in a process that supports and extends each individual. It will bring you face-to-face with your own particular challenges, and help you develop the tools you need to see those challenges through.

For the participant, leadership thrives, skills develop and confidence grows. Our goal is to help each participant become the leader that they want to be.
