“I could relate each of the characters to people here, including myself...”
The Woman on the Trolley was the first piece of work we did that directly addressed the ‘patients’ experience’. It was written for NHS Forth Valley and follows the journey of a woman through A&E and onto a ward from her perspective. In the live event (which lasts a day) the patient remains in the room throughout as a reminder to staff that while they are busy at work, the patient can do nothing but wait.
